The Scree formed in 2005 because we wanted to make noise -- we being Bengt Halvorson, Seth Ladygo, Steve Libbey, Eric Ridgway (and occasional keyboard sounds from Aaron Meyers. The first noisy moments happened in the sub-basement of the fabled Oak Street art lofts, until a mushroom distributor kicked us out. Then The Lawn offered to share their rehearsal space, sandwiched between two overamped metal bands. The Explo EP was recorded there, while bands roared on either side of us, forcing us into a lo-fi aesthetic which we had mostly embraced already. It seemed appropriate.

And then Seth fled the country while Eric made a baby and quit for finer things. Two people filled his shoes: Ben Salzberg on guitar and Bobby "Switchblade" "Powerload" "The Baron" Elam on bass. More songs followed. They too will be recorded.
