Steve Libbey has been making music for nearly twenty years, ever since he first picked up a cheap electric guitar and banged out some chords. A veteran of the Cincinnati rock scene of the nineties and the Atlanta underground scene of the early two thousands, he's participated in a grab bag of bands: Martian Electric, Snowblind, The Shut-Ups, and many more, not to mention founding the Atlanta indie label Imperial Fuzz.
Old and crusty, he fled the threat of a major label contract to make his home in Portland, where he writes novels and plays parties with the funk band The Golden Greats. He's even become involved with writing comedy for sketch troupe Extra Medium. But from the late nineties until the present day, he's kept one foot in the digital studio, writing as Robotic Storm Cloud the strange songs that bands wouldn't want to undertake.
He's excited about making his catalog freely available to the world at large ("I never made a dime from it anyway... I was too lazy."). Click through the links on the Music page, where the songs have been reorganized as themed EPs. There are more where these came from that just need some mixing and mastering. Not only that, but he's archived lost recordings by his old bands Shocklogic, Snowblind, and Martian Electric/Royal Fuzz Combine.
